The Vistakon division of
contact lens manufacturer Johnson & Johnson Vision Care has launched a new 90-day pack for its
1-Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses.
According to the firm, the lenses use Lacreon technology, which embeds a water holding ingredient, similar to that found in natural tears, into material of the
1-Day Acuvue brand.
Dave Brown, president of Vistakon, said: "Many eye care practitioners and consumers favour daily disposable contacts because of their health and convenience benefits, but doctors have told us that cost often factors into a patient`s decision to choose a one day lens."
He added that now patients can enjoy the convenience of daily lenses, the benefits of Lacreon technology and the cost value of a 90-day pack.
According to Acuvue, anyone thinking about getting
contact lenses needs to consider whether they would prefer hard or soft lenses and whether they need daily disposable or reusable ones.
