ULTRA® contact lenses by Bausch + Lomb are silicone hydrogel lenses containing their unique MoistureSeal® technology, which enables the lenses to maintain 95% of their moisture for a full 16 hour day(1). ULTRA® contact lenses are created using Bausch and Lomb's two-stage process

PHASE I - A silicone backbone is formed, which provides excellent oxygen transmissibility.

PHASE II - Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) grows around and throughout the silicone backbone, attracting moisture.
