Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia is a daily disposable multifocal contact lens. It has been designed to have a high water content of 78% and retain up to 96% of its moisture for up to 16 hours.

What Is Presbyopia
Presbyopia is an eye condition that makes it harder to focus on objects close to you. It is estimated that over a billion people worldwide have presbyopia.
Around the age of 40 people begin to experience difficulty in focusing on objects close to, for example, reading books, menus, and regular sized text can become increasingly blurry, hence the need for reading glasses, progressive glasses, or multifocal contact lenses.
If not corrected, presbyopia can lead to tired eyes, eye strain, or headaches as the condition worsens.
Why Do I Need Multifocal Contact Lenses
If your Optometrist has recommended Multifocal contact lenses then you have in all probability developed presbyopia.
If you are aging and finding it increasingly difficult to focus on close up tasks, or finding it harder to read in dim light then your Optometrist will prescribe reading glasses, progressive glasses, or Multifocal contact lenses.
Multifocal contact lenses give you the option to experience clear vision — near, intermediate, and distant, in dim and bright light — so you can continue to do the things you love without remembering to take your reading glasses with you.
Are Multifocal And Progressive Contact Lenses The Same Thing
Yes, basically multifocal and progressive contact lenses are the same thing, they can also be called varifocals, they contain multiple prescriptions in one contact lens to prevent the use of reading glasses, and are prescribed to correct presbyopia.
Generally, contact lenses are referred to as Multifocal, as they use concentric circles of different powered prescriptions to allow you to see, near, far, and intermediate, whereas glasses are often referred to as progressives or even varifocals, as they commonly use a gradual transition of prescriptions from top to bottom allowing you to focus in the distance, close to and intermediate, depending on what part of the lens you are looking through.
