Getting The Best Out Of Your Violet Contact Lenses
If you’ve never worn contact lenses before we would recommend a contact lens fitting with an Optometrist or contact lens fitter, that way you will know the lenses fit well and receive instructions on how to insert and remove them, along with some advice on keeping your eyes healthy
As a refresher here’s our quick Do’s and Don’ts
- Do – Take proper care of your lenses.
- Do -Wash and dry your hands before handling your lenses.
- Do -Insert your lenses before applying makeup.
- Don't - Share your coloured lenses with any one. The risk of eye infection increases significantly when lenses are shared between people.
- Don't - Wear contact lenses if your eyes are sore or irritated. If the irritation doesn't go away after a day or two, consult your eye care practitioner.
- Don't - Use your contact lenses for a longer period of time than is recommended for the lens. A daily lens should be disposed of every day, a monthly lens every month.
- Don't - Sleep in your coloured contact lenses

Is Violet A Natural Eye Colour
Yes, people can have naturally violet eyes, but it is rare, only 1% of the worlds population have violet eyes. The colour of your eyes is dependant on the amount of melolin in the front layer of your iris, and very low levels can cause your irises to appear purple (1).
Which Hair Colour Works Best With Violet lenses
Ash grey hair works particularly well with Violet coloured eyes, but the warmer hair colours look great too. If you are wanting a more striking look then pair violet lenses with light blond hair.
