5 Great reasons to remember your contact lenses this Christmas
Christmas is arguably the most wonderful time of the year. With the promise of Santa, presents and a few days off work, it’s a time most of us look forward to and want to enjoy every minute.
When you sit down and make your Christmas to-do list make sure you add “Order contact lenses"- you don’t want to leave it until the last minute and be caught with no lenses over Christmas and New Year.
You probably don't need reminding to order your contact lenses early, but in case you do, here are our 5 great reasons to remember to order your contact lenses in time for Christmas.
1. Postal Delays
Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year for online retailers and delivery guys and girls, so by ordering your lenses early, you can help prevent them from being delayed in the post and cross one thing off your To Do list.
Our tip is to make sure you have enough contact lenses to cover Christmas and New Year. The gap between the two holidays is so short you may not have time to order and receive a delivery.
2. Family and Friends
Spending time with friends and family is one of the great things about Christmas, we often get to see friends and family members we haven’t seen for a while.
Wearing contact lenses can boost your confidence and help you see who’s knocking on your door, plus should that long-lost school crush turn up you won’t have to worry about your glasses as you move in for the kiss.
3. Food and Drink
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without mince pies, turkey, and eggnog, OK, maybe we can do without the eggnog.
When pouring drinks or serving food, wearing contact lenses makes things so much easier.
With contact lenses there is no risk of them steaming up when opening the oven door to check the turkey, no risk of icing sugar all over the lenses when dusting the mince pies, and no squinting or tilting your head back to see through your bifocals when pouring eggnog - substitute your drink of choice -
4. Christmas Movies
Who can resist a Christmas movie, whether it’s the new Disney release with the kids, or an old classic curled up on the sofa with a loved one, it all adds to the joy of Christmas.
Should the movie be a tear-jerker, with contact lenses there’s no need to worry about tear stains on your lenses ruining your enjoyment.
5. Enjoyment
Christmas is undeniably a busy time of the year, what with present opening, Christmas dinner, visitors coming and going, and tired fractious kids, we don’t have time to sit back and relax.
Wearing your contact lenses may not help you relax or provide extra hours in the day, but they will help you enjoy every hectic moment.
Don’t forget New Year, with all the parties you may want to try coloured contact lenses to make that new outfit pop, and with the inevitable late nights, it might be a good idea to add a pack of comfort drops.
