Order never arrived

I placed an order weeks ago. It never arrived. I have contacted customer service several times and no response. Now I am being asked to write a review which is one star as I have no product but have paid and no help from company.

I wasn't happy this time

I wasn't happy this time. I always order from here as I always get my contact lenses a day or 2 days after ordering them. But this time round they didn't arrive for 5 days. Do I was without contact lenses. Disappointed really. I rely on them coming soon. Hence why I use them

Late delivery

I ordered lenses well before my holiday departure date and when I enquired, I was told there were supply issues so I got next day delivery of the exact same product and price elsewhere. So despite the offer of a £10 voucher, I will not be using your website again.

This company used to be good!!!

This company used to be good ..deliver accurately within a day or two. The last two times we used them..have been awful... the first time despatching the lenses three weeks after we ordered... the last time ..even after three weeks we had to ask where the lenses were ... they dispatched half the order a few days later ..the rest a week or so after that . It is the last time I will use them, we were customers for a few years ..but never again.

I’ve ordered 6 boxes of contact lenses

I’ve ordered 6 boxes of contact lenses. The delivery was 3 weeks delayed and short of one box. I’ve asked for a refund and was informed that the missing box would be delivered yesterday, and I am still waiting 😔

Really really poor and misleading.

Really really poor and misleading. I'm disapointed that for the last 9 months I have been told that my normal order is 'currently not available due to supply issues'. I then have no option to buy the more expensive ones at double the price. I get if this was a 1 off but for the last 9 months I always get told the same thing and they will 'be in next month' but they never are. Ive used this company for the last 9 years as they used to be the best. My normal order is :- Crystal 1 Day (box) R: 8.6/14.2 -1.50 Price: £7.75 Qty: 2 Total: £15.50 Crystal 1 Day (box) L: 8.6/14.2 -1.50. If I ordered 4 boxes (2 of each I would get free delivery which was an honest purchase. I have been tricked to pay double the price for the last 9 months due to my lenses of choice not being available but told they would have them in next month. They never are! I hope this review is taken on board as for years I have seen you and your friendly Irish sales team as my preferred supplier but I can't help you have pulled the wool over my eyes. Lewys in Cardiff

We do offer the premium branded lenses at a hugely reduced rate if the lenses required are out of stock in the Crystal brand. We have experienced stock issues with our range of Crystal lenses due to slow production. Even though we have had several deliveries over the year of our Aqua and Hydro, powers have sold out very quickly due to their popularity. I am sorry you have been affected by this many times. I ordered these lens in good faith

I ordered these lens in good faith, and all I got was a bad service. I gave them my prescription which is correct as it is from my optometrist and it is not old and would work with the lens that they have as the prescription is as the last pair I had. The Coopervision were not very good a little flimsy so I decided to change to Johnson & Johnson which would be good for me. They got the reading prescription right but the long distance was wrong. All I would like is for my money refund or the correct prescription made it is very simple. It seems there clinicians have there own agenda not quite sure why they like to mess up the company they work with, reputation. Thank you

I ordered these lens in good faith as I know my prescription and it was good with the Coopervision lens so ought to have been good with the Johnson & Johnson ones. The quality of the Coopervision is not as good as the other so I had changed company. Really disappointed with the service that contactlens.co.uk has given. If they had made the prescription to the specifics that were given then they ought to have been fine as that is the prescription from my opticians. The reading side was good but the long distance was bad and the prescription is not old I can send it to you if you like. So the service I found appalling so I would like a refund or the prescription to be fill properly if you have clinicians that like to actually work and be respectful. Thank you. Do Not Buy from this Company

I returned lenses that ordered by mistake, ordered and paid for new ones. RETURNED THE ORIGINAL LENSES. TOLD THEY HAVE NOT GOT THEM. Not getting refund I used their RETURN LABEL DO NOT BUY FROMMHERE

Terrible service

Terrible service, paid extra for fast delivery and took 10 days to reach. Why on Earth do you use DPD who require a signature when the item can be posted through a standard letter box ? Very disappointed in your service after using you for almost 10 years

Misleading customers

"Misleading customers. Selling stuff they do not have making people WAIT. I ordered lenses that I needed to take with me on holiday. It said ""delivery 1-3 working days"". Waiting for 4 days - nothing. Then logged back in to check and it turned out this info ONLY AFTER THEY ARE IN STOCK. So WHY DO YOU WRITE DELIVERY IN 1-3 DAYS? You need to write delivery in 1-3 days + how many days we are going to wait to get them ordered for you. Hate businesses that SELL WHAT THEY DO NOT HAVE. If they did show them out of stock I would have ordered somewhere else, and got them on time. Hateful cheaters just willing to get money and not willing to provide service."

A company in trouble that don't have the honesty to stop taking people's money.

Ordered from them, after they had started having problems (I hadn't realised and they hadn't got the honesty to stop receiving orders that they couldn't fulfil). I get regular emails promising me at some point I'll receive my order. Today I've asked for a refund, I went to a rival and received my lenses within 2 days.

Huge delays

Very few lenses in stock. Went ahead and ordered different ones. After a week I still hadn’t received anything. Checked and currently dispatch taking over a week from ordering. Surely they need to make this a banner on top of the front page of their website? Emailed to cancel only to be told emails taking three days to reply to. Ordered from Lenstore and received the next day

Sadly seem to have gone very bad

Sadly seem to have gone bad. Have used successfully for many years, but have been waiting over a month for my order with constant promises of dispatch that are never met. Have used them for years but now they are failing

Have used them for years, but since 3 June 2023 they have failed to deliver my lenses. I got a refund for my June order, thought I’d try again with a different brand of lenses (which was their advice) on July 1st. It is now 17th July and nothing received except for apology emails. I seems like they are failing again. Something has gone horribly wrong with this business.

And still waiting...

Back on the 7th June I placed my first order with this company. After waiting over 3 weeks, my order was cancelled. An apology was sent, along with a discount to order a different set. These were ordered on the 27th June. I am still waiting. It has taken me to chase the order to be told I would be contacted again the following day. This never happened and I have now been told to wait till Tuesday. It is a constant circle of poor organisational skills, a complete let down, and never ending wait. A second chance was given, but there won't be a third. We all have issues, but it is how it is handled using great customer services to reach out first, not waiting for customers to leave or chase themselves.

"Ordered over 15 days ago, and after chasing was told they would be shipped in 1-3 days and that they would update me the following day. 3 days later, still not shipped and no updates provided as they promised. Update: They have now emailed to say ""our stock is currently unavailable. You should have received some emails about this the management team sent."" Seems odd they dont have access to the stock and Ive not received emails from the management team. Update: Did receive my order, unfortunately the 30% discount they promised was no where to be seen."

Really shocking fall from grace in…

"Really shocking fall from grace in customer service. I've been buying contact lenses from contactlenses.co.uk for over 10 years now, and recently I've noticed a massive drop in quality of service. I originally bought crystal daily disposables, and had to wait a week (when I noticed my order was still ""processing"") before I called up contactlenses.co.uk, and was informed that they don't do these anymore (no idea why my order processed for a full week before I was told this). Desperate for contact lenses, I bought 2 boxes of Focus Dailies and even paid extra for 1st class delivery... this was a week ago, and still have yet to get any news about the delivery of my contact lenses. I contacted customer support and found Sophie to be very helpful and sympathetic, but ultimately I feel like the company as a whole has really gone downhill. I haven't been able to drive or exercise without my contacts and feel really annoyed that I have had to go to so much effort and still haven't received a couple boxes of contact lenses. I've been a customer here since 2012, but I'll be looking at other contact lenses sellers, as this really isn't on. Huge price hikes in contact lenses, delayed deliveries, lack of stock. Terrible."

Have been a customer for years

Have been a customer for years, ordered my usual order and was fobbed off with issues, such as no stock and will send out tomorrow. Took 2 weeks to arrive and wa sent from another supplier, with no paperwork. I think they are in trouble as they can't now stock the Crystal range. Don't order.

DO NOT ORDER

I ordered over 15 days and paid for 1st class postage, 15 days later still waiting for my contact lenses. I contacted asking for a refund in with I got an email to say contacts will be back in stock mid-July. This was only sent after I sent my email. Shocking Customer experience. I will not be returning

Don’t buy, look elsewhere

I have used this company since 4 April 2005, they used to be great but now their customer service is rubbish. Their adds say they are the most reliable, they aren’t. I don’t know what has happened to their customer service, they used to be so polite and helpful, now they have a take it or leave it attitude. This will be my last order with this company. Don’t order, look elsewhere. Now 3rd July, on Friday was told my lenses would be dispatched in two days. I ordered on the 15th expecting a very quick turnaround. I’m worried, is anyone receiving their order? They took my money straight away and told me on Friday they have hundreds of orders. Adding up to quite a sum. So gave you another chance: We are pleased to confirm receipt of your order placed with us on 12 Jul 2023 17:52 - thank you! Your allocated order number is 4325957. Order Total: £67.80 Despatch Estimate Date: 19 Jul 2023 Received: 18 July 2023 Hi Christine, Thank you for your order, and sorry we have not yet sent it. We had some changes to our stock and distribution, and we were getting back to normal with receiving stock and sending orders out. However, there have been some delays, and we have yet to be able to ship all orders. We understand it is frustrating and inconvenient to be without contact lenses, and we are genuinely sorry. We are doing all we can to rectify the delays and ship your order as soon as possible. No promise of when the order would be dispatched, the money was again taken from my bank - more lost interest. I cancelled this order apparently it takes 10 - 14 days to get my money back, another nice little sum of interest on all your customer’s orders. Ordered elsewhere got my lenses the next day.

Incredibly disappointed

Incredibly disappointed! I have been ordering from them for years and have always been very happy but have been extremely disappointed for the last three weeks! Ordered and was told it was going to be 7 days rather than the normal quick delivery. I was ok with this as I have always been spoiled with their quick delivery. Three weeks later and no order and no communication whatsoever! I emailed them a few times on their website asking for information. They kept closing the enquiry down without a response. This morning I received an email to say that they’ve cancelled my order but I still haven’t received my email! Absolutely atrocious! They’ve just lost a good customer due to their terrible communication! Never again!

I’ve been using them for the last 10 years but recent distribution changes and absolutely poor customer communication has left me without contacts for 3 weeks! I patiently waited only to find out they have now cancelled my order! Forget this company, try Vision Direct. Ordered on Sunday and arrived on Monday!!!! The contacts are rubbish

The contacts are rubbish. Some arrived teared in the packet some tear inside the eyes not safe at all. Paid extra for the sensitive eyes ones made no difference at all!! Waste of my money.the company did not contact me after the review

Have been a customer of theirs for…

Have been a customer of theirs for years. Placed an order last week and they stated 5 day delivery time it has now been 7 days with no update, no explaination, and the lenses are not even at their fullfilment centre. I have had to spend more money with a different company who can reliably deliver next day. Contactlenses.co.uk have lost me as a customer. 2 weeks later and still no communication. Terrible service to be expected as they have my money already.

Very bad

Very bad, I used to buy my lenses from you but I found an other cheapest shop but after few times they started delivery late. My last experience with your company was the same, I ordered my contact lenses and only after 2 days it was processed and delivered 4 days later. Because of that I’ll not order anymore with this company.

Terrible Company - Customs fee

Terrible Company. I bought from the Irish version of the website contactlensesplus.ie. The delivery stated about 5 days, however, I then got a message after a week stating that I need to pay customs fee of 15 euro to deliver Ireland, which is ridiculous. The website is essentially false advertising - as the website states that it is fast delivery to Ireland. I didn't pay the fee and just sent the goods back. Complete waste of time for something as simple as contact lenses. The customer service representative was also incredibly rude when I contacted them. Won't buy from them ever again. Absolute joke.

Ordered on Dec 5th..?

Ordered on Dec 5th, received an email Dec 15th saying they were on there way, didnt arrive till Dec 18th. 13 day from ordering before I received them, pretty abysmal TBH. Ive used this company for years now, they were great at first, postage was included in the price, that changed to postage added later on, then a distribution center was thrown into the mix taking your orders longer to arrive, now its down to 13 days, time to look elsewhere I think.

My last order was great as I reverted…

My last order was great as I reverted to the more expensive lenses we have always ordered before we started buying the Crystal lenses which were much cheaper. The last order of Crystal lenses on 8th Nov was disastrous. The lenses are for my son and were of poor quality, kept splitting, resulting in sore weepy eyes and even split whilst he was at work resulting in a 2 hour round trip for me with spares as he couldn’t drive his digger and couldn’t get home. Will never buy these cheap Crystal lenses again.
