Let down twice

Was running low, so order some fresh lenses. Mindful of the recent strike action, I allowed time for this. However, over a week later there was still no site of my order within the system. I contacted them, and they kindly agreed to send out more, this time 24 hour tracked. However, I have yet to receive this (nor are this yet with Royal Mail) over 2 days later too. I've subsequently (on Tuesday) ordered elsewhere, and have just received. Safe to say will be my last order with them

Service used to be great

Service used to be great. Order and delivery fantastic. Now there always seem to be delivery delays. My latest order placed on 15/10 now scheduled for 14/11 delivery. I can’t trust reliability anymore and don’t want to have to order months in advance. I think I’ll be looking for a new supplier which is a shame as I’ve been a customer for over 10 years. What’s gone wrong??

Lenses u ordered where out of stock

Lenses u ordered where out of stock, I was sent replacement lenses without asking which one I would like. Unfortunately the replacement lenses are not suitable for me, leaving me with no lenses so I had to use the unsuitable lenses.

Pretty poor experience

Pretty poor experience. Paid for four boxes of lenses, received two. Company says I'll get the rest 'at some point' but won't say when (and doesn't offer the option of a refund). My usual supplier was upfront about low stock, and said it wouldn't realistically be able to deliver, which is why I tried contact lenses.co.uk. It decided to take the money and worry about consequences later. I don't know if they're just a dodgy website or if they'll genuinely try to deliver at some nebulous point in the future – but I'll be long gone so in practical terms it makes no difference. I'm £65 out-of-pocket but I've learnt a valuable lesson.

We explained that we would send the remaining when available which could be as late as October (as advised by the manufacturer at the time) and to get in touch if you would like to amend your order. Therefore giving you the oppurtunity to cancel the remaining boxes. I can see the remaining boxes were sent out today on a priority delivery so should be with you very quickly. You have ordered from us on a number of ocassions since 2008 and have not raised any previous issues. I trust this would fill you with confidence we are a genuine and trustworthy company. Dishonest: using .de and .es domains, resulting in custom charges on orders

Ordered from a Spanish domain, for quick delivery and no import issues for delivery in Spain. 2 weeks delivery time + additional €15 custom fees. Very dishonest. The minimum expected - make a note that lenses are coming from UK and custom fees will apply.

Ordered 3 pairs of monthly prescription…

Ordered 3 pairs of monthly prescription lenses as a deal, next day delivery. Had to chase after several days not received, before being told there has been some delays and was sent one pair only. The pair I got was blurry and had to bin them after one day of use. Won’t be ordering from here again

Lenses ordered 10th July, no contact except initial confirmation emails sent still no contact lenses and no reply! No telephone number only an email address, avoid this company! Will be putting in a dispute with my bank now to claim a refund

Missing and Wrong Order!!

I didn’t recieve my order so contacted you and you sent my order out again which when it arrived the next day wasn’t the correct lenses that I have, I did try a pair but I can’t see properly and make my vision blurry, so having to wear my glasses again 👎🏽

Poor…

If I could give a zero I would I was given these lenses as a replacement They make my eyes so sore, feels like grit is in my eye, I have tired these so many times over the past few days and they are all the same They also make my vision blurry! Not happy.

Absolute disaster and poor quality…

Absolute disaster and poor quality lenses. I have been your customer for years and years now and but this times the lenses I received were very very poor quality - doesn’t even feel like soft lenses, led to red eyes, eye infection and I had to leave work mid day and I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I thought it might be just one off but All 6 lenses I received are the same and I had to throw all of them away.. I need a response from you and either a full refund or send me the good quality lenses please.

Dispatching takes several days

It doesn’t make clear that it takes several days from order to actual dispatch. Time taken for delivery may be outside the companies control but to take several days to dispatch for delivery isn’t. This makes the company less competitive when you factor in the delay

I appreciate everything’s going up…

I appreciate everything’s going up but….I felt rather misled. I received a notification when ordering my usual contacts that the price had changed. It was going up from £7.50 to £8, which I didn’t think was too bad. However, when the contacts arrived, instead of having 6 in a packet there was only 3! So, the price per contact has gone from £1.25 to a whopping £2.67 - more than a 100% increase! As I say, I appreciate that cost of living is going up, but that’s ridiculous. Congratulations, you’ve lost yourself a loyal customer.

Absolutely disgusting customer service

Absolutely disgusting customer service. I put my lenses in from 2 new packs and couldn’t see whatsoever. After a few days I realised they had sent me the wrong lenses. I was sent +2.50/+3.50 instead of -2.50/-3.50. I rang customer service and the attitude was disgraceful. There was no apology about the fact that I was unable to see for 3 days. I was just told that as a good will gesture they would send replacement lenses out. I explained how totally inconvenient this mistake had been as I had to drive to work, plus try to work with limited vision. I was then told I was being rude! A few months previously, I was waiting for over a week for my lenses, having to wear daily lenses 2 days at a time. I rang and they told me they were out of stock. At no point was I informed of this. My money was taken and after reading my order on email observed that delivery would be in July. I ordered them in March.

Unfortunately after ordering as…

Unfortunately after ordering as standard delivery (£3.00) the contact lenses never arrived. This is the 2nd time in the last 4 months this has happened. As I needed them ASAP I reordered as next day delivery at a higher delivery cost and received them, same as last time they didn't turn up, I reordered as next day delivery and they arrived. Always had great service but starting to lose faith in this company.

It says the lenses are natural colours but they're not. They're awful... and they have nothing to do with how they look on different eyes or skin tone, so the reply is pretty ignorant.there is Nothing natural about these lenses at all.

Read the small print in regards to next day delivery

Let's you have the option of next day delivery and let's you pay for NDD but if its a Saturday delivery the product will not arrive until Monday. Spoke to Cs and told me to refuse the delivery and then wait for a refund.... purchased on a Thursday....should arrive Monday.... maybe ??? But paid NDD?? Bought contacts from here for years and was basically told to go away and read the small print ....cheers 🤬

Always used to be good years ago. I ordered from them about three weeks ago. I've been given a fake tracking number for the Royal Mail and obviously no contact lenses. Avoid!!

Don't buy outside the UK!

The customer service is good until purchase, but if you're buying from outside the UK (e.g. Spain) you'll get walloped with duties and huge waiting times to get your lenses. When you complain about the situation of course it's on their fine print; too bad so sad. They should NOT have a .es or .de website to catch these buyers unless they're shipping from within the country. Fraud!

Absolutely awful - missed expected delivery date - then when i called promised - email said guaranteed delivery by thursday - nothing arrived called on friday the operative then hung up - called again got through to manger who said very sorry and operative had problems with phone - very convienant - anyway said likely to be on saturday - then email to say still in warehouse or something - so totally let down and non delivery tell u anything to get you off phone - wont use again

I have been a customer for many years and I had an arrangement for my delivery to be left at back of my property if I am not home. I ordered lenses on wed next day delivery payment and I rang on Saturday to ask were my delivery was, upon checking Michael told me that due to me not been home they had sent my parcel to another town for me to collect, this town was good half hour drive from my town, when I asked Michael from your company why this had been chosen instead of been able to pick up from a pick up point in my town he couldn't answer and Sayed basically was my fault as I had not been home!! Very unhelpful and I had no lenses, so I then had to order from lens store whom deliver on.sunday ...I decided that I won't order from you again .

Bad experience

I ordered the lenses back in Nov and its almost end of Jan and i have not received mine. I know its inevitable in regards to the logistic issue but i heard nothing from the seller. Bad customer relation and i wont purchase again.

I jave ordered my contact lenses which cost me £49.99 and I jave not received it yet I tried called but its the holiday period and my issue i jave a flight to east Africa on 2nd January as I dont live in the UK anymore. So all in all I'm very very disappointed and will request a refund I cannot explain how upset I am in words.

I ordered my lenses on the 25th October…

I ordered my lenses on the 25th October and am yet to have received them!! Terrible service, no way of tracking delivery. I've gone elsewhere and the customer service has been brilliant

Hi Sam, I am sorry to here your lenses have not arrived, they were despatched from our warehouse on the 25th October via 1st class Royal Mail, we would expect them to arrive with you within 24-48 hours. Our customer support team will contact you to see if we can help.

This company sent my lenses to my…

This company sent my lenses to my university address from 2005 . There was no way to view this , just login and send as they said they had my details. When I emailed to tell them the mistake they asked to to contact the halls of residence??? I've no idea how a company can hold my address from 2005 ( that was the last time I ordered from them apparently) and not be in breach of Data protection. The order was only £10 !

Thank you for choosing to order your lenses from us after so long. I checked our records and your last order with us was in fact 2005! We hold customer details on record to aid reordering and redespatch of orders, to retrieve this information you would need to log in to your account, once logged there is the facility to change the delivery address, card holder address, lenses required etc. Unfortunately on this occasion, as nothing was changed the order was despatched to the address registered. I am happy to arrange to have the order despatched to your card holder address - I hope this helps.

We would expect to despatch your lenses on the date provided when you placed the order, but on this occasion I can see due to a stock error your lenses were out of stock, which delayed their despatch. I apolosise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Would leave zero stars if I could

Would leave zero stars if I could. Haven't used them in five years as they messed up two orders. Once where they sent the wrong lenses and once where the lenses weren't sent at all and I had to chase and chase. Fast forward and I thought I'd try them again. I'd moved house so I updated my address on my account but silly me I also had to update my order as apparently nobody cross checks these things so Lo and behold my order gets sent to my old address 50 miles away. So I ring customer services. I get cut off TWICE then when I finally get through I'm told it's my fault because I placed the order and if the lenses come back I'll get a refund. The patronising borderline cocky tone of the man I spoke to was the final straw. DO NOT USE this incompetent company.

I can see that you last ordered in 2013 with an alternative address, and unfortunately this time, the address was only changed on your main account after the order was placed, and therefore would not automatically update a pending order. Due to the high number of orders we receive daily, it is not possible for us to cross reference, confirm and amend delivery details. I apologise again for the inconvenience this will have caused and a refund will be issued once the order is returned. Kind regards Hayley

Not fit for purpose

Ordered a few times from here, so thought I'd try some expensive coloured lenses. At £17.50 they weren't cheap. The lenses were awful, kept moving around in my eye. I was actually more blind than before I put them in! Asked for a refund and was told I could have 10% off my next or order. I will be seeking further advice as they were not fit for purpose. Contacts and customer service were actually insulting. After saying that I hadn't ordered from you, I have sent the order number. Just another shabby excuse. UPDATE. I never told them that it was the colour. I said the contacts kept moving around so the colour was covering my pupil, therefore I couldn't see. I don't have the contacts to send back because the first time I wore them on a night out, the coloured part kept going over my pupil. So I couldn't see. I had to take them out mid way through the night and had no where to store them.

I am sorry that the colour of the lenses were not suitable which is the reason you gave our support team for wanting to make a return. Our policy is we do not offer a return on opened coloured lenses however on this occasion was willing to make an exception, but unfortunatwly as you had no lenses to return to us we were unable to honour this goodwill gesture but offered a 10% code instead, I apologise if this was not satisfactory for you, and for the inconvenience caused. Not liked at all

Not liked at all. Saw all the good reviews and thought I'd give them a try. Every one I put in my eye is scratchy. Not good vision either and dry out really quickly. My original lenses...when they are out of my eye and dry up they are still in perfect form just smaller. These once worn, they dry into a crumpled mess and really brittle. Not liking at all unfortunately. Sorry!

Absolutely terrible service!

Absolutely terrible service! I’ve been using this company for years until this month. My order took 3 weeks and didn’t even contact me to say there was a problem. By this time I had ran out and couldn’t do sports etc!

Your order was created on the 25th June and we sent your order on the 5th July, therefore took 6 working days for us to send. This is slightly longer than usual but an estimated despatch date was provided before taking payment and confirming your order. This is why we did not notifiy you again of a delay as you continued with the order knowing the date the order would be sent by.
