I was recommended these contact lenses from my optician who was selling them at ridiculous prices so decided against them at the time before i saw them on here for a few pounds cheaper each box, so decided to go for them. I noticed no difference from the crystal dailies as they were drying out at around midday exactly the same as the cheap ones off here. Don't get me wrong they feel great when i first put them in but that feeling sadly doesn't last. I don't mind as much with the crystal dailies as you can afford to change them half way through the day, but these are too expensive and don't achieve the promise of 12 hours of comfort. I'm still to find some decent lenses that actually last the day, but i think monthly lenses are better for people with dry eyes as they hold more moisture
I tried these lenses after years of the more expensive Acuvue just to see if buying a cheaper lens meant lower quality. For the most part I'm happy to say that they don't! They are generally easy to put in and comfortable. Probably the only thing I would say is that they maybe felt a little uncomfortable a bit sooner than the Acuvue lenses. For me that's not an issue as I still got around 12 hours wear out of the Proclears before needing to take them out and I don't wear lenses every day. Overall much better value than a more expensive brand for how often I use them.
I wear daily disposable lenses in spring and summer because I have hayfever and I need clean, pollen-free lenses every morning. I have tried several brands and these are my absolute favourites. They are extremely comfortable, they don't dry out, even though I wear them at least 14h every day. If it wasn't for the constant sneezing I would forget I have hayfever when I wear them! I highly recommend them.
I was using Specsavers daily contacts and all I had was discomfort and also a store that was less than helpfull so decided to give the internet a go. As soon as I put the first pair of contacts in the difference was fantastic! A*****************
I bought proclear one day to use when I went on holiday to Mauritius in December. It was around 40 degree Celsius, almost everyday and must say that these contact lenses performed exceptionally (and surprisingly) well. They are as good as my monthlies, which are biofinity.
They really do stay moist and they did not dry my eyes at all. Also had the usual 'can't-feel-them-in -my eye' feeling. They were slight slippery to put on but I don't mind about that.
I would say that contact lenses work differently for different people and for me, these were great!
I am a contact lens wearer of some 10 + years.
Therse are the thinnest and most comfortable lenses I have worn to date. Coupled with the fact that they are nearly 1/2 the price of my old lenses and you are onto a winner.
I have previously used other lens mail order companies and have always had to wait at least 14 days for my order to arrive. With contactlenses.co.uk my order arrived the following day. I will now be a customer for life. You guys rock !!!
Although these aren't the cheapest on the site, i went for them because of their 6 star review and was very impressed. Although contacts lenses are sometimes hard to handle and put in for first time users these were suprisingly easy and went in straight away. The longets i have worn them fo is 11 hours and they caused no discomfort and most of the time i need to remind myself to take them out as i cannot feel them. I could feel one of them slightly for the first few days but i guess that was my eyes adjusting. It feels so strange to be able to see without glasses and this website makes lense affordable, thank you contactlenses.co.uk!!
I decided to try these because of the excellent reviews on this site. However, having tried them today, I have to say I'm disappointed. They are incredibly thin which means they keep folding over your finger when you try to put them in. Worse than that though, I couldn't get the left lens to fit properly. It kept irritating my eye and I tried 4 different lenses out the box but they were all the same. Maybe I got a bad batch but luckily had some Focus Dailies left so put those in and they fitted perfect 1st time. I will say that the right eye didn't give me any issues and in fact the clarity was much better than the FDs but the left eye was unwearable so it's put me off trying them again. I will stick to what I know from now on I think!
I used to use Focus dailies but they never felt comfortable and I always wanted to remove them. I tried these last month and they are so comfortable. They don't dry out and I don't even notice i've got them in. They are the best lense i've worn in about 15 years!
All i can say is...why didn't i switch to these sooner!! I've had focus dailies for years and have never been happy with them but thought i couldn't try any others out there because they measure a bit bigger so i thought it might be uncomfortable for my eyes. This is my first day wearing them (which is why i've only given 4 out of 5) but i noticed straight away how comfortable they were when i put them in so i'm hoping this comfort will last all day 4 hrs and counting so far no probs! will be buying more and sticking to this brand from now on :)
I had given up hope of ever finding contact lenses that didn't scratch or irritate my eyes after about 4 hours. These lenses have changed everything for me, they really are more comfortable than any of the more expensive brands from Johnson and others. I am so happy I listened to the other reviewers and gave them a go, best punt I ever took.
I bought these having read all of the reviews, and I do have dry eyes so am perhaps over sensitive but... dry out really quickly, sometimes after only a couple of hours - have had to wear 2 pairs in a day or abandon them completely so any price saving not worth it! Also not comfortable from the off, quite hard so felt them immediately in my eyes. Maybe I'm just difficult, but definitely going back to more the ones I had before - more moist, more flexible.
I have worn contact lenses of different types for nearly 40 years. In the past 10 years have worn monthly mono lenses i.e. one for reading one for distance. With a change in prescription my optician has been trialing various options for nearly 8 months.A costly & time wasting exercise!
In desperation I ordered Proclear - my first dailies. So easy to put in as they have a slight bluish tinge like the monthlies, so even very short sighted people can see what they are doing! Almost as thick as monthlies but so much more comfortable, no dryness even after a long day. I can't find any fault with the lens and agree with the other rave reviews. The only downside for me is I can't get the correct strength for my reading eye & the extra power is making my eye a bit uncomfortable whilst doing close work. Lens are perfect for general daily use.
